Porter’s Barn

Open the door to Porter's Barn and you step straight into a single ground-floor space that holds everything you need. The living area has a smart TV and woodburner; next to it, a dining area flows into a kitchen fitted with electric cooking, a microwave, fridge and washing machine. A double bedroom and ensuite shower room complete the layout, all on the same level and accessible by just two steps from outside.

The barn sits on the owner's smallholding in South Kesteven, surrounded by fields and quiet lanes. A garden with seating and furniture opens from the back, and there is parking for two cars. Wifi, heating, bed linen, towels and wood for the burner are all included. The property does not permit smoking.

Castle Bytham village, with its gastropub, lies less than two miles away. Grantham is fifteen minutes' drive; Stamford, famous for its honey-coloured stone and the Burghley Horse Trials, takes about twenty. Rutland Water, offering walking, cycling and birdwatching, is within thirty minutes. The countryside around is dotted with traditional pubs and market towns suitable for exploring by car or on foot.
