About The Melbreak Country Hotel
The Melbreak Country Hotel has the low, welcoming feel of a traditional country house, set back on Winscales Road on the edge of Great Clifton with open views towards the surrounding fells. It makes an easy base for exploring the Lake District National Park while keeping guests away from the busier tourist routes.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, family options for those travelling with children, and drinks available in-room, along with the everyday practicalities of free WiFi and room service. The restaurant and bar serve breakfast, packed lunches and evening meals, including kids' menus, with outdoor seating in the garden for warmer days. There's free on-site parking, an electric vehicle charge point, and meeting rooms for those combining business with a stay in Cumbria.
Beyond the hotel, guests will find a golf course, pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, making it as suited to a longer break as an overnight stop. Laundry service and 24-hour reception add a practical, well-run edge to a stay built around the fells on the doorstep.
