About The Old Ginn House Inn
Families and travellers using Workington as a base for the Lake District will find The Old Ginn House Inn a practical option, with 21 rooms including family rooms and en-suite bathrooms throughout. It works equally well for a golfing trip, a fishing weekend, or a wedding, given the on-site bridal suite and meeting rooms alongside the more everyday comforts.
Guests get a bar and restaurant on site, breakfast included, packed lunches for early starts, and kids' meals for family stopovers. Outdoor seating extends things in better weather, free WiFi covers the practical basics, and 24-hour reception means arrival times aren't a worry. Free on-site parking is available for those touring by car.
Beyond the inn itself, the surrounding area offers walking routes, watersports, and a golf course nearby, plus pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. It's a no-frills base rather than a destination in itself, geared towards those who want somewhere comfortable to return to after a day exploring Cumbria.
