Little Tern

Little Tern sits in a converted 18th-century stable block within Winterton-on-Sea village, on Norfolk's coast. The whole property is yours alone, arranged on a single floor with two bedrooms, a bathroom, living space and kitchen. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two singles accessed through it; a travel cot is available for younger children. Everything you need to settle in is covered: bed linen, towels, electricity, wifi and initial fuel for the wood burner. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine; there's a woodburner in the living room and electric heating throughout.

The enclosed garden has a lawn and seating area, and parking is available on the road. A shop is 100 yards away and a food pub 350 yards. The real draw is what's nearby: a nature reserve with sand dunes lies just 350 yards away, home to Little Terns and Natterjack Toads, with sandy beach access. The Horsey Beach seal colony is visible from late November onwards when seal pups are present. Great Yarmouth's traditional seaside attractions are 9 miles off; the Norfolk Broads and Norwich are within 6 miles. Local activities include walking, birdwatching and the Horsey Wind Pump. No smoking throughout.
