Thurnefield Holiday Homes - Apple Tree Cottage
Great Yarmouth
Great Yarmouth's quieter side opens onto the Norfolk Broads and their quiet waterways, with Potter Heigham emerging as the area's focal point. Apple Tree Cottage sits within a small cluster of holiday homes here, offering genuine separation from the outside world while keeping amenities within reach. The cottage is a thatched building with a practical layout: a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom, plus living and kitchen spaces downstairs, with three single beds on the first floor. Sleeping five in total, it suits families avoiding stairs as well as groups of friends travelling together.
Indoors, the kitchen handles proper cooking with an electric oven and hob, microwave and full-size fridge. The living area has a television and electric woodburner. Essentials like electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all provided. Outside, you have private parking for two cars and access to shared gardens with seating and a barbecue; a sitting-out area overlooks the grounds. No smoking throughout.
Potter Heigham itself—a short stroll away via a riverside path—has a pub, café and Lathams department store. From here, the Broads themselves are the draw: launching points for kayaks, canoes and paddleboards sit on the River Ant, and walking and cycling routes spread across the landscape. Sandy beaches at Winterton-on-Sea and Horsey Gap lie about seven miles distant. Pets are welcome.
