About The Maynard
A dedicated bridal suite sets the tone at The Maynard, a 19-room hotel on The Main Road in Grindleford, Derbyshire, geared as much towards weddings and events as overnight stays. The three-storey building is set up with meeting rooms and a wedding venue license alongside its guest accommodation, and free on-site parking makes arriving straightforward.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children, who can also order from a kids' menu. Guests can eat in the restaurant or bar, start the day with breakfast, and arrange a packed lunch for days out; drinks can be brought to the room, and there's a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating for warmer weather. Free WiFi and 24 hour reception cover the practical side, with concierge services on hand for anything else.
Grindleford sits within reach of Padley Gorge and Chatsworth House, and the surrounding area is well suited to walking and cycling. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby give options beyond the hotel itself, and pets are welcome for those who don't want to leave the dog behind.
