Fabulous location ...would benefit from a shop even if part time hours. Llanbedrog beach 10 minute drive and within easy reach of many local attractions. Woodpeckers feeding off the bird table.

Hendre Caravan Park – A Hidden Gem My wife and I bought a second-hand static caravan at Hendre Caravan Park in late April 2024, and from the get-go, it’s been an absolutely fantastic experience. Nestled perfectly between Abersoch and Pwllheli, this park is a true hidden gem. Right from the start, the team at Hendre couldn’t have been more helpful. Lowri showed us around the site, and I have to say, it’s a real credit to everyone involved. The grounds are beautifully established and immaculately maintained. The team are so friendly and always happy to help—nothing is too much trouble for them. We viewed several sites in the area, but Hendre stood out by a mile. Its location, stunning views, welcoming staff and residents, and brilliant facilities really set it apart. It’s also a breath of fresh air compared to some of the more corporate-style parks out there. If you’re looking for a well-established park in a fantastic location, whether it’s to enjoy the beaches of Abersoch, explore Pwllheli, or take your four-legged friends for a wander in the nearby forest, Hendre is the place for you. It’s also brilliant for the kids to burn off some energy—it ticks every box. A huge thank you to the Hendre team for everything. We’re already counting down the days to the new season and looking forward to making many more happy memories here in the years to come! Best wishes, Mathew & Diane

Sam

Sorry to say somewhat disappointed with our stay at Hendre. Greeting was poor, told here’s the key for the toilet block and no ability to pay by card. Pointed to the one pitch that was not seasonal and that was it. Pitch impossible to pull into due to poorly placed planters so thank goodness for the motormover. Toilet block is very dated and never locked (as it should have been), 3 toilets and 2 shower cubicles but both drains in shower were blocked so water ran out into main bathroom into a central drain. Facilities on the whole dirty and in need of attention. As for the site as a whole it’s truly lovely, beautiful surroundings with a nice woodland walk, small play area for the kids (behind our pitch, which got pretty noisy at times), mini football pitch and a cool rope swing. The static caravans are vast and some amazingly well decorated by their owners. A shame the facilities where so poor but I can see how it’s mostly focused on static owners. Unfortunately we won’t visit again.
