We were a group of nine couples celebrating a 70th birthday over four days in January. House fabulous, loads of space for everyone, excellent kitchen, utility room, boot room. Two open fires. Very warm throughout and plentiful hot water. All bedrooms extremely well appointed. Grounds gorgeous even mid-January after Storm Goretti. Huge shout out and thanks to property manager Simon who was extremely helpful and extremely responsive. Also to private chef Lewis Keane who catered the excellent birthday dinner. Highly highly recommended. Thanks so much Simon we absolutely loved our stay. Now keen to return in spring and see the amazing wisteria!!

I can only echo the other recent 5 star reviews. Our family group of 16 (from 2 to 91!) have been coming to Wales for many years and we also agreed that the house is hands down the best we have ever stayed in. Almost everything was perfect - all the (en-suite) bedrooms are gorgeous, the kitchen is spacious and incredibly well equipped, the lounge and library are beautifully furnished and welcoming and the garden is a delightful place to relax on the chairs and sun beds, as well as enjoying many very competitive games of croquet! Many thanks also to Simon, our contact for the week, who was always available to answer questions or sort out any minor issues. A fantastic house and a beautiful area.

I rented this wonderful house for four nights in early July, for a reunion of friends, who have been meeting annually for over thirty years. In the early days, we stayed in Bunk Barns, but as the years have gone by, we have chosen much more comfortable accommodation. The verdict this year was that Plas Bodegroes was the best ever. The en-suite bedrooms were all comfortable and well-presented and the lounges and dining room were beautiful - perfect for pre-dinner drinks, conversation and quizzes. We appreciated the art around the house and the vases of flowers, which welcomed us. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. The two fridges were ideal for our group. We were pleased to see that there were two bins for recycling and one for household waste and clear instructions as to where to leave rubbish outside. We enjoyed lovely weather, during our stay and it was a pleasure to make use of the sunbeds, looking onto the glorious garden, with the house reflected in the metallic, globular fountain. Simon, the manager, was extrememly helpful and very responsive to any enquiries or problems. He agreed to show my wife and I around the house, a few weeks before our booking, so that we could plan which bedrooms would suit members of our group. We were also pleased to see the kitchen to know whether we needed to bring tea towels, bin liners or extra utensils. Simon welcomed us on the first day of our stay and showed us around the house again, letting us know that he would be available should any problems arise. We would love to return one day.

My extended family over 3 generations had a wonderful 5 day stay at Plas Bodegroes to celebrate a big birthday. The house is in a great location for exploring the LLyn Peninsula, providing high quality accommodation with plenty of space for people (and dogs) and the kitchen is extremely spacious and well equipped. The grounds and gardens are a delight to sit or play in too. Simon was very helpful and accommodating, allowing us to arrive early and leave later than the check in/check out times, and he gave us an informative tour of the house when we arrived. We had a celebratory meal cooked for us by private chef Lewis Keane, which was amazing and much easier than going out for a larger number of people.
