Llanfair Slate Caverns sits two miles away, Harlech Castle is accessible for a day out, and Portmeirion lies within easy driving distance—all reasons to base yourself at Ysgubor, a sympathetically restored barn conversion on a working farm in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. The property opens onto valley and sea views, with an enclosed garden offering a patio and sitting area. The nearest shop, pub and restaurant are a mile and a half down the road, and a train station is within two miles if you want to explore further afield.
Inside, the ground floor holds a living room with a wood burner (initial logs provided), a kitchen/dining room fitted with an electric range, dishwasher and all the usual appliances, a double bedroom and a bathroom with both bath and shower. Upstairs, two further single beds and a pull-out single are in the second bedroom, with a separate toilet. Five people can stay comfortably. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered, and a travel cot and highchair are available on request. One dog is welcome, though it must be kept on a lead as the property sits on working farmland. Smoking is not permitted.
The beaches of Snowdonia are close by, making this a straightforward base whether you're planning coastal walks, exploring the national park, or visiting nearby attractions. Private parking accommodates three cars.
