Bangor sits at the gateway to North Wales's most dramatic landscapes, and Bryn Menai puts you within reach of them all. The cottage occupies a converted farm building a couple of miles from town, with the Menai Strait and Anglesey just across the water, and Snowdonia's peaks visible from the property. One step leads into ground-floor accommodation: a bedroom with a king bed and ensuite shower, plus a second bedroom with two singles and a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Upstairs is an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas opening onto a garden with patio furniture overlooking the countryside.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Freeview television, DVD and CD players are there if you want them. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included; heating runs on oil. One well-behaved pet can come with you, and there is parking on site. A pub and shop are about a mile and a half away on foot. From here, Caernarfon's castle and the Welsh Highland Railway are four miles off; Anglesey's beaches, Beaumaris and the sea zoo are closer still. Llanberis, eight miles south, has the Snowdon Mountain Railway and the slate museum. Walking and cycling straight from the door takes you into quiet country lanes.
