Caerffynnon Cottage

Built on a hillside near Talsarnau in Gwynedd, Caerffynnon Cottage is a single-storey stone property that commands views across the surrounding landscape. The whole place sits on one level, accessed via ten steps to the entrance. Inside there are two bedrooms—a double and a bunk room—served by a bathroom with bath, shower and heated towel rail.

The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and washer-dryer. An open-plan living and dining space with high ceilings lets in plenty of light. Large windows frame the views. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The cottage has its own front garden with seating area and parking for two cars on site. No smoking indoors.

Talsarnau sits within Eryri National Park, a short drive from the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways near Porthmadog, and Harlech Beach and castle to the south. Llechwedd Quarry at Blaenau Ffestiniog offers underground tours and zip-lining through former slate mines. The area suits families, groups of friends, or couples looking to base themselves for hiking, cycling or simply exploring the mountains and coast of North Wales.

Amazing property. Absolute luxury - everything has been thought of. The place has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard. Spent a week here, and am very sad to leave. Really friendly neighbours too.
