Caernarfon sits between mountains and sea, with Snowdonia's hiking trails inland and the Menai Strait's quieter shoreline close by. Menai Lodge occupies the edge of town itself, a modern single-storey property on ground level throughout, with direct access via three steps to the entrance.
Inside, an open-plan living area combines the lounge, dining space and kitchen as one room. The lounge has a woodburner and smart TV; the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; the dining area seats the group together. Two bedrooms sleep four—one with a double bed, one with bunks—while a sofa bed in the lounge adds a fifth sleeping spot. The shower room has a cubicle shower and toilet. Outside, a private hot tub for five sits in the front garden among the sitting-out furniture, with parking for one car. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial fuel for the woodburner and a welcome pack. One dog or cat stays free. Smoking is not permitted.
Caernarfon Castle, a medieval fortress and UNESCO site, stands in town. The property suits families, groups of friends, and anyone wanting the coast and mountains within reach of a single base.

Great location, easy access to Caernarfon and lots of places in north Wales. Well tucked away with a hot tub and electric gated access. Parking spaces are very narrow, perris lodge is quite dark inside, could really have done with a window on the end of the building for the lounge area, and the bedroom window looks straight into the bedroom of the lodge next door so have to keep the blind closed for any privacy and some maintenance of the foliage would be a good thing. Enjoyed our stay very much but could have been better thought out.

Pleasant quiet campsite with good facilities, children's play area . Pitches for back packers. Motorhomes, touring caravans and family tents. Near to Caernarfon town centre in wooded valley. Friendly helpful proprietor. Good value for money.

Nicely laid out campsite within ten minutes walk of town but sheltered from any noise. Decent shower and bathroom facilities. Friendly and helpful owner. Marked pitches with plenty of room and cleverly distributed into different areas separated by tree lines. Seemed like good value 👍

Stayed for 2 nights. Site is very sheltered which was a relief from the gale force winds. The facilities (toilets and showers) were well thought out, modern and very, very clean, probably some of the best we have experienced in this price range. Only 10 mins walk into town for pubs and restaurants. Small site, most people seemed to stay for a night or 2 on the way through.
