CWM Cadnant - Padarn Lodge

A single-storey lodge built for easy living, Padarn Lodge sits on one level throughout. There's a double bedroom, a shower room, and an open-plan space that combines living, dining and kitchen in one flowing area. A sofa bed in the living room makes a third sleeping space. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, so you can cook properly rather than just reheat. A wood burner and smart TV occupy the living end; the dining table sits in the middle. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included, along with the initial fuel for the burner.

Outside, a private hot tub sits in the front garden among sitting-out furniture, and there's parking for one car. You have the whole place to yourself. One dog travels free. The lodge is no-smoking, and check-in is after 4pm with checkout at 10am.

Caernarfon itself is a working town rather than a resort, though Caernarfon Castle dominates the waterfront. The coast is close by. For serious walking, Snowdonia National Park and Llanberis are within reach; the Snowdon Mountain Railway and Llanberis Lake Railway both run from there. The National Slate Museum documents the area's industrial past. A travel cot and highchair are available if you ask in advance.
