🏡 Self-Catering Cottage 🐾 Pets Welcome

Delyn View

Photo: Glaslyn View

Built as a quarryman's cottage, Delyn View sits in the heart of Snowdonia with views across the dramatic landscape. The stone building retains the character of its industrial past while offering the practicalities modern guests need: a full kitchen for self-catering, reliable heating, and enough space for five people to spread out comfortably. WiFi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The property is yours alone, and one dog is welcome to stay.

The layout works well for families or groups. Downstairs holds a living room with a gas fire, a single bedroom with en-suite, and a bunk room with direct access to the rear courtyard. Upstairs are a double bedroom and kitchen-diner, plus a shower room. Outside there's a furnished area at the front and a secure courtyard behind, both good for sitting out. Walking routes begin immediately from the door; a drive into the Nantlle Valley reaches Rhyd Ddu, a quieter way up Snowdon. Caernarfon—with its castle, shops and restaurants—lies within reach, as do the beaches at Dinas Dinlle and the Ffestiniog Railway. No smoking indoors.

What a wonderful apartment. We’ve had a fantastic few days and the weather has been kind to us. The apartment is spotlessly clean & well equipped (even has a decent pair of scissors!). The view is amazing too. Sarah has been great to deal with and we’re starting saving so we can come back soon.

Our (2 adults with 2 spaniel sized dogs) second time at Glaslyn View for a short break whilst visiting friends in Porthmadog. Have to say that the house is a gem. Stunning location, convenient for the town and its choice of shops and places to eat and drink, and access to a variety of walks . We haven’t stayed in summer yet but right on the doorstep if it’s your thing are two ‘scenic railway’ lines, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland which chug along up the mountains and beyond. The house is well equipped, (Smart TV, DVD, Dishwasher Microwave (but not a Washing Machine)) warm, comfortable and very dog friendly, and offers a spectacular view over the estuary. Sarah is very approachable and extremely reactive to questions and requests. Hard to find fault and will definitely be back.

Just back from spending a week at Glasyn View. The property is well equipped and is perfectly placed to explore the surrounding area. The Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways are about a 5 minute walk away and it is not far from the Snowdon Mountain Railway. The views from the balcony are stunning and change by the hour.

We’ve just had a perfect few days away at Glaslyn View. The accommodation is perfectly placed to explore the surrounding area. Portmeirion is a short drive away and a great place to spend a few hours. The house is very comfortable with modern fixtures and fittings. You’ll find the beds and pillows very comfortable, and the bedding crisp and clean, perfect for a good nights sleep. We sat on the balcony in the morning with a coffee in the sun and with a glass on wine in the evening. A beautiful view that changes as the light changes and the tide comes in and out. It’s so peaceful. The trains chuffing nearby was an added attraction.
