🏡 Self-Catering Cottage 🐾 Pets Welcome

Hendy

Hendy stands on a 100-acre working farm in Gwynedd, a mile and a half from Aberdaron Bay. The cottage sits in a Bortle 2 area—among the darkest night skies in the UK—making the garden an excellent spot to watch the stars. The enclosed space also has a fenced pond, garden furniture and room for children and dogs to move around safely.

Inside there are three bedrooms: two doubles and one with bunks. A bathroom with bath and shower serves the upstairs, while downstairs holds a living room, dining room and a separate playroom with a TV and DVD player—useful for giving children their own space. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, and heating, electricity, bed linen, Wi-Fi and towels are all included. One dog stays free; a second small dog can be accommodated but must be kept on a lead as the property is on a working farm. No smoking throughout.

The village of Aberdaron has a mile-long sandy beach, two pubs and a tea room, with summer boat trips to Bardsey Island. Rock pools and sea caves are nearby for exploring, and the area offers windsurfing and kayaking. For wider exploration, Caernarfon and Harlech castles are within reach, and Snowdon is a short drive away.
