About Crafted Camping at Ty'r Felin
Perched on the wild Llŷn Peninsula, this off-grid hideaway occupies an ancient wildflower meadow with jaw-dropping views across four-mile Porth Neigwl beach – a surfer's favourite and haven for swimmers, kayakers and snorkellers. There's direct shoreline access (no lifeguards, so bring your confidence and your own kit), and a local fisherman runs wildlife-watching boat trips for those hoping to spot dolphins. The ethos here is firmly about treading lightly: expect smell-free compost loos, open-air hot showers under the stars, and no electricity or wifi to distract from the scenery. Hire a firepit for long evenings by the flames, or simply sprawl in the grass scanning the horizon for seabirds.
Facilities are intentionally simple – some may miss the creature comforts – but for those craving reconnection with nature and a genuine step back in time (no tarmac, no aerials, no street lights), this peaceful, laidback spot delivers in spades.

What visitors say
Beautifally situated wild camping with lovely owners. We have just returned from 2 nights here, where we used one of the permanently set up 4 berth tents. We both really liked it. Highlights The view down over Hells Mouth. Watching the moon rise over the sea - so dramatic. Lovely helpful owners who are determined to keep the site wild and intimate. The tent - brand new, £40/night. Total bargain.

This campsite is absolutely beautiful! I got to watch the Milky Way with my bare eyes, and witnessed the most amazing sunrise. Just below the cliff is a beach, and only 10 minutes away there’s also a sandy beach. Facilities are simple (2 toilets, a bathroom, washbasin, and washing areas) and everything is eco-friendly with recycling. The hosts are welcoming, kind , and you can feel they truly care about the place—not just doing it for money. Even though I had a tent, I slept outside under the stars, and one of my dreams came true here. Here is the pic we captured that day🌌✨

A truly amazing camping experience. A real off-grid, back-to-basics weekend where there is everything you need, and nothing that you don't. There are two compostable toilets, a hey bale urinal, a washing up sink, and a shower that gets it's water from a well. My 5 year old daughter referred to the pink and blue, hand-built washroom "the beautiful bathroom" A 5 minute walk down the hill from the site is a rocky beach perfect for fishing and crab lining. The hosts, Bob and Meg were the icing on the cake, so helpful and so friendly. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Ger Mawr is a magical little spot to reconnect with nature and the rhythm of life. We feel blessed to have been to stay. Rustic, wild camping with the most special and spectacular views.
