Tegfryn Cottage

Tegfryn Cottage is a traditional stone building in Pant Llwyd, a hamlet near Blaenau Ffestiniog within Eryri National Park. Built to last, it combines period character with modern essentials: a ground floor with living room, kitchen and shower room, and a first floor bedroom with a kingsize bed. The heart of the place is a woodburning stove in the living room, useful on cooler evenings. Outside, a back garden has seating and a barbecue, though there are steps down to it.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. One dog can stay free, though it must be kept on a lead as the surrounding land is sheep country. The cottage is non-smoking. You'll need to arrive after 4pm and leave by 10am.

From here, walks and hikes into Snowdonia are immediate. The Llechwedd Slate Caverns, an underground quarry visitor attraction, is nearby. Llan Ffestiniog village, a short walk away, has a pub. The nearest similar lodging is Treks Bunkhouse.
