Ymwlch Barns - The Peacock Roost
Gwynedd
Photo: Google Maps
The Peacock Roost is a shepherd's hut built to combine rural character with modern comfort. A single bedroom holds a double bed; the open-plan living space doubles as a second sleeping area with its sofa bed. You get a shower room, and a kitchenette fitted with gas cooker, microwave and fridge for self-catering. Wifi, bed linen, towels, heating and hot water are included. The hot tub sits outside, private to the property, and accommodates four people.
The hut stands on a working farm in the Gwynedd hills, three miles from Criccieth. The approach is via a rough track, and there is private parking for two cars. One dog or cat is welcome, though pets must stay on a lead due to the sheep on the surrounding land. The interior runs on gas central heating and underfloor heating, with a woodburner in the living area. An electric vehicle charging point is available at cost. There is a bike store for exploring the local countryside.
This is a no-smoking property. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before noon.
