The site was very quiet with good views across the fields around and only 10-15 minutes drive to Winchester. There's a pub, The King Charles, 10mins walk from the site serving a good selection of food and drink and dog friendly too. There's a Tesco Express 20mins walk from site too. On the whole a clean site and basic for a CL site with 5 pitches all with electric hookup and water supply. Our pitch, closest to the gate, was fairly level, but I did notice two other campervans felt the need to use their leveling ramps. On the whole a good experience, however just a couple of minor issues, the signage to the entrance could've been clearer as we drove up and down the lane a couple of times and also noticed later, as we were walking to the pub there was another van looking for the site too. Foliage from the hawthorn hedge had all most completely engulfed the sign and we didn't notice it till walking back from the pub, just a quick prune wouldn't have gone amiss. Also around the waste areas, the long grass could've been strimmed back ? So would we recommend or return? YES 😉

This site is one of my B&B’s (basic & beautiful) Has got everything you need but you must have your own sanitation. Lovely view, and pitches are well kept. Entry code to gate which is given to you the day before. Lovely walks within the campsite area, and great pub half a mile down the road. We wanted to stay longer but unfortunately no room! Popular as it is 🤩 but Harry was very accommodating in letting us check out an hour or so later as our next site was a later check in. Little tip…Follow the instructions on their FAQ’s for entry to the site, we didn’t and nearly missed it as the hedge has grown over the sign on the right side of the road, maybe it’s been trimmed since.

We loved the peace and quiet during our stay. The campsite was well laid out with plenty of space between each hard standing pitch that commanded lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Easily accessible water point and EHU for our motorhome and convenient chemical and grey waste disposal. A short 10 minute walk to the bus stop to catch a bus into Winchester and close enough to main roads to visit many local places of interest - Steventon, Chawton, Basingstoke, the Vyne NT. We highly recommend the site.

The perfect 5cl, level hard standing, EHU, water, b+g waste and dog friendly. gate with code so secure, grass well cut and great views. Trains run along bottom of site but far enough away not to bother you with noise. Lovely, peaceful and quiet and a great nights sleep.
