If I could give more stars for service, I would. Jane is a wonderful host: welcoming, approachable and very much in control of what is lovely, relaxing and extremely clean accommodation. I stayed for 4 nights for work and booked because I wanted somewhere close to the odeon, and Sea View Guest House had the best reviews in the price range. Jane was flexible to change my rooms when I wanted to upgrade from single. All rooms are very clean and tidy, functional and the property has some beautiful details such as arched windows and a ceiling detailing in the reception room. I was at the property very early or very late, so didn't see any other guests (and more importantly, didn't hear much outside of quiet activity). I appreciated the small dining area for guests and cereal for breakfast and enjoyed seeing the owner around the house, keeping the place ticking over! The rooms I stayed in had no kettle, lamps or anything outside of bed, wardrobe / storage and tables, which was fine for my needs. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stayed here 3 times, twice on my own and once with my 3 year old daughter, its a great location with views of the sea, good price, clean and the lady who runs it is very friendly and welcoming. I will now stay here everytime i visit the area.

Had friends visiting for the weekend, suggested this place as price was reasonable (high end of reasonable), and says it includes breakfast (free). It is a B&B (bed and breakfast), after all. On arrival, just after the 3pm check in time, there was no one there to check them in. Phoned the number and told they'd be back in about half an hour and to come back then. Bit silly, not manning check-in, at check-in in hours. Next morning our friends went to see about breakfast. No breakfast they said, even though their entry on here states in two different places that they do breakfast free (or included in the price). Our friends had to find somewhere else to have breakfast at extra expense, so not as cheap as it appears, and not a B&B, just a room for rent. Bit of a let down for us Hartlepulians. Won't suggest them to visitors again when they don't offer what they advertise.
