Such a beautiful hotel, clean, quiet, perfect location, the presentation of the towels and toilet rolls was a lovely touch. There is a games room, with a pool table, tv and a darts board, there is a kitchen area and dining bar to sit at. There is a laundry room too. on the morning in the games room they lay out some breakfast assortments, which looked lovely. Overall I would definitely stay here again! 😊

For the money I paid the rooms are excellent. Clean, functional and not outdated. The hotel has no reception and both the front door and room are opened by keypad. Make sure you note them down. The location is perfect, right on the seafront. There is no breakfast included but the Wetherspoons in Hartlepool opens at 8am and is only 5 minute drive away. Would stay here again.

I travelled up for the day and decided last minute to make it an overnight stay....and I am so glad I did! The owners were quickly communicative, answered any questions I had, and even upgraded my room for free as well as let me into the room at 2pm! Amazing kindness and I would definitely come back. The self-catering set up was brilliant and there is everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked and the lounge area is big but cosy. As a solo traveller I feel very comfortable here. It is a lovely quiet hotel and I am posting the review whilst still at the hotel as I am that impressed! Thank you to the owners at The Norton! Kerri from York

What a lovely location in this fantastic seaside town. Right on the green. Its been lovingly painted. i only visit Butterfold bakery on a Saturday morning to get my weekly cakes snd bakes, but it is spotless. Fantastic that they reached out to help the young couple, Scott and Rebecca, launch their new business by renting them the front lounge. Its a great bakery for us locals.
