Really disappointed to have to leave a very negative review but that’s what reviews are for. Firstly we have stayed at several sites where we have to pay for electric there was no mention on the website of electric being payable but worse than that is there is no phone signal at all to even top up we ran out 1 night in the middle of the night and was freezing and on the morning had to drive to get a signal to top up. We normally average £5 a day when paying for electric we spent a ridiculous £36 for 3 nights!! Now we came home at intervals to check messages as we run a business so no signal was a real downside and again should be mentioned on the website. We really didn’t understand how it was eating the electric as we had nothing major on and was only there on an evening our friends also spent the same on electric. The site has what looks like permanent residents there who take no care whatsoever of their pitches with rubbish cushions general rubbish by their caravans what an eyesore and why is this even allowed? There is no maintenance to the site whatsoever and looks like the farmers use it with the tracks and hay on the site. Massive puddles at the entrance when you’re trying to open and shut the gates so your feet get soaked. The bins for the rubbish look like they were just dumped somewhere as they are on a residents pitch. Not a very pleasant stay at all we came for my husbands birthday weekend aswell and very glad to be home and one to not to return to such a shame as a lovely location but totally spoilt by the above.

Nice quiet campsite just outside of Tamworth, approximately 10 mins drive from the town centre. We had a lovely large pitch, our American RV was easily able to fit on pitch number 1. The pitch had its own electricity and mains water connection. The grass due due to be cut, but it was perfectly fine for our two night stay.

Had nothing on their website about closure from covid 19, and given they didn't have any shared facilities (toilets, showers etc) we rightly assumed it was open, especially as they were still taking bookings for late June. We arrived, set up, and emailed (not for the first time) querying something. We got a response saying they'd read our booking wrong, and we weren't legally allowed to stay. So we wasted a significant amount of money on fuel, and a whole day of travelling for nothing. She refunded us in full for the booking, but given we'd wasted probably over £20 on fuel, it's not really acceptable. I was baffled they were even taking bookings for the dates available when they weren't even open. Overall a waste of time and money, on my expense.

Had planned to stop here on my charity cycle ride for the fight against cancer. I rang up to book, the lady was extremely rude and said I wasn't welcome. Wouldn't recommend what so ever. Not a good way to treat potential customers. Lucky enough the next campsite I called let me stay and even offered for me stay for free. I would give no stars but have to give one. ☹️
