What visitors say
Excellent evening spent at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. I was part of a party celebrating a hundred years of Wilkinson & Scott Ltd. Three coaches of the train were hired for the event. If you love steam locomotives or railways in general, this is a great place to visit. The train runs from Oxenhope to Keighley and back ( 5 miles each way). There are stops in between, such as Haworth , Ingrow, Damens and Oskworth. There is a bar on the train and soft drinks and tea and coffee. Oxenhope station had a shop, cafe, ticket office and toilets . Decent carpark area too. Generally if you like to step back into the golden era of railways, this a good place to visit.

Caught the train (pulled by 34046 Braunton) from Keighley to Oxenhope at the Steam Gala, 19th March 2026. By far my best photos and videos of the day were at Oxenhope with the change around of the engine. The noise and volume of steam generated by purging the cylinders was dramatic - definitely not to be missed.

What a lovely, well kept and quant place, it's obviously cared for a lot by those that work and volunteer here. We went for a themed evening which was well organised, great performances and the train ride and entertainment was lovely. Friendly and efficient service/staff and parking was well organised (booked in advance). Would definitely recommend checking out all the themed days they do (book well in advance), as they are so well thought through and worty the money, all the family, especially the kids enjoyed the whole experience. It's a shame that the journey isn't a little longer but for an evening ride it was fine (especially as the weather wasn't very kind), I will definitely go back again in the summer for a longer journey and see the sights Thank you for a great experience and hope that the railway continues to be supported.

Excellent day out on the "all day rover" ticket, plenty of cafes and things to see, well worth a visit, plenty of free parking at oxenhope station.
