Family friendly glamping site in Kent countryside with a yurt, shepherd's hut and bell tents. Dog friendly.

About Go Glamp Camping and Glamping

Tucked between Headcorn and Smarden, this five-acre family-run site delivers a genuinely chilled escape with plenty of space around its camping fields and a mix of glamping options including a yurt, shepherd's hut and bell tents. The spotless facilities – warm showers, clean loos, communal kitchen area and fridges – keep things comfortable, while firepits and barbecues are available to hire. Uniquely, guests often hear lions roaring from the nearby Big Cat Sanctuary, and the adjacent trainline treats spotters to the occasional Pullman or steam engine (twice hourly, silent midnight to 6am).

Kids and dogs are welcome, and the friendly on-site owners are always on hand. Walk to Smarden's pubs in half an hour or drive five minutes to Headcorn for supplies. Automatic electric gates add security. Internet access is limited, so warn the teenagers – but that's rather the point.

We had a great few nights staying at Go Glamp in our tent, (2 adults, 2 children). Alan and Kim, the owners, were very friendly and welcoming. The pitches were a really good size and the site was very friendly. We loved hearing the lions roar from the Big Cat Sanctuary next door and seeing hot air balloons go over. We enjoyed visits to Leeds castle and Howletts during our stay. We will look forward to returning for another trip in the future. We would highly recommend this site to friends and family.

We had the whole place to ourselves which was strange but nice, hearing the Lions was fantastic, Kim & Alan couldn't be nicer. The facilities were good although not sure how two showers would work when site is full. Very dog friendly. The only down side which was an issue throughout our stay were the trains which were metres away from out tent - 4 every hour starting at 4.45am until 12.30am resulting in 4.5 hrs free during the night. Sleeping was an issue. If you can get over that you will have a lovely stay..... Also no wifi was attainable.

We have just returned from a half term break from Go Glamp and had a fantastic time. We had the Shepards hut and tent. The hut is so comfortable and has almost every thing you need. Even if it does not ask Alan and Kim, they have everything you could possibly need and they could not have done enough for you. They have a moody pony that provided us great entertainment scratching his bum against the posts or playing with his footballs. Very hit and miss whether he would let you stroke him, form of currency seemed to be an apple or a carrot! Overall amazing experience and great vibes✨️already booked to go back.

we had the most amazing time at Go Glamp! the bell tent was comfortable and more than spacious enough for our family of 4. Nice clean toilets and shower blocks with hot water. Alan the owner could not be more kind and helpful. We felt so welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. It was very cool hearing the big cats roaring as we were so close to the big cat sanctuary. we were next to a railway but that didn't bother us, in fact my 4 year old son loved seeing the trains. all in all, a fantastic break. Alan definitely helped make it special. I would definitely recommend.
