### STAY AWAY ### Money grabbing owners, very rude and only take a deposit on Pitch Up and ask to pay the rest in cash on arrival!! We were told they overbooked so no hookup for us on arrival and then they tried to over charge us again, saying our 16 pounds was commission to Pitch up and we owed them 35 pounds for the night. Sorry, but that works out 51 a night. Look at the reviews on Pitch Up and how rude the manager, Norman, responses are to a less than 10. So glad we left. Pair of jokers with no customer service skills that allegedly run the site.

Awful experience. Would never recommend. Horrendous customer service and interesting that they looking for “cash” on arrival and critical of pitch up payment process. Rude and obnoxious owners. A shame as ruins the camping experience for genuine people just wanting to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

As soon as we arrived we were met with a warm welcome by Gary who showed us to our pitch and where the amenities were. The field was well managed, the views were lovely and even had friendly cows that we could pet. The weather was sunny, it was wonderfully quiet and there were only a few other families who we shared a large area with so we really felt the luxury of having space. Norman and his wife came to see us to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves and to share what life is like for them. It’s a working farm so this needs to be taken into consideration, just to be aware that there are limits on access as it’s not a playground. The facilities were clean, in good working order and no waiting for showers or washing up etc. All together we had a very relaxed and peaceful weekend which was a real tonic for our family. Thank you

What a special place. We had the BEST weekend here, and have to thank Guy, Norman and Ruth so much. Privileged to be the first family stay in their new family field! If you're looking for something different from the generic uniform pitch setting site THIS IS IT. Just one shower, one toilet and one washing station, so if you're wanting mass concrete toilet blocks, laundry service, mini supermarket, then I suggest you look elsewhere. This site is for those embracing the gorgeous countryside, the views, peace, quiet and simplicity of a rare breed working farm. Getting up close to the gorgeous rare breeds of sheep and cows and Highland cattle. Free range chickens cluck around you. Sit and watch the Barn Swallows in the early evening catch a breath on the fence. Watch Buzzards soar above your van. Listen to Duke the bull call to his cows, watch the sun set with beautiful views. It really is special. We will be back.
