What visitors say
We visited Gourock Outdoor Pool, which is around a 45–50 minute drive from Glasgow, and the journey itself is beautiful with stunning coastal views along the way. The pool is located right on the waterfront in Gourock, Inverclyde, making the scenery even more special. The pool itself is fantastic. The water temperature was very comfortable, making it enjoyable even on a cooler day. The management and staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The crowd was also great, creating a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the changing rooms and shower facilities could be improved. A few of the showers weren’t working properly during our visit. Parking was free on the Sunday when we visited, although I’m not sure if that’s the case on other days. Overall, it’s definitely worth the drive from Glasgow, and I’d happily visit again.

Nice saltwater pool that has a 3m diving board and a 1m one. Good view across the Clyde estuary. Slightly colder than usually since it was a cold day. Still wasn’t that cold.

Would definitely recommend visiting here if you get the chance. The pool was warmer than expected. The staff are very friendly and helpful. £12.50 for an adult and concession. You will need £1 for the lockers. 20p for a hairdryer. Mixed changing rooms and mixed open showers. The water is incredibly salty so you are warned. I'd suggest taking two towels as you will need one when coming out of the pool to wrap yourself in then one for after your shower. Definitely take flip flops as the changing room floors are soaking from people coming and going. Hope this helps 😊

A wonderful day in the pool! My daughter had an unforgettable experience and so did I! The water is warm. There is a small pool for kids. There is a live queue, tickets were bought at the entrance. You need to have a £1 coin to use the locker. In my opinion, the incredible view compensates for all the minor flaws! I recommend it! Thanks to the staff for their work!
