About Bridge Inn Camping Site
Tucked at the foot of the Black Mountains with the Brecon Beacons National Park on the doorstep, Bridge Inn Camping Site delivers a proper off-grid camping experience anchored by a cracking pub. The Bridge Inn itself earns high praise for generous portions – think juicy burgers, haddock and chips, and Sunday roasts that hit the spot after a day on the trails – plus a warm, cosy atmosphere and a solid range of local beers. Staff are friendly and clued-up on the dozens of walks detailed in the pub's folder, making this a genuine walkers' paradise.
Pitches range from electric hardstanding to non-electric grass tent spots, all in a peaceful, remote setting that feels wonderfully wild. Facilities lean towards the basics – pub toilets available round the clock, showers on site, and a composting toilet option – so don't expect a polished shower block, but that's part of the charm. Dogs are welcome year-round, and the location puts Hay-on-Wye's bookshops within 35 minutes and Hereford's cathedral a 45-minute drive away.

What visitors say
Stayed in my tent for a few days over the crazy heatwave we've just had. Mark and Laura were fantastically accommodating and were very responsive to my queries as I was travelling to them. Beautiful area, beautiful pub with good food. Good value for money, and facilities were exactly what you'd need for a few quiet days away. Will be returning.

Came for dinner as part of a large hen party and had the best service and food possible! Such a warm and friendly place and the staff absolutely saved us when our taxis fell through. They made the night so enjoyable and they also have 2 cute cats :) Will definitely be back here

My family of 4 plus our dog were staying in Longtown and went to the local pub (I won’t mention the name but it’s the only pub there) and weren’t made to feel particularly welcome and the place looked tired. Found this Gem of a place on Google maps 10 minutes away and thank goodness we did! Beautiful location and we all (including our dog) were made to feel welcome. Nice atmosphere, lovely covered seating outside with rustic furniture. Good selection of local and well known Beers/Ales. The food, my wife and I had haddock & chips was amazing, my two sons had the stack burger and were equally satisfied. So in conclusion if you are in the area be sure to take your patronage here, you won’t regret it!

On a hot day, in the middle of nowhere, the Bridge Inn is an oasis of coolness and serenity. The Ale was excellent and my Burger was up with the best of them. The dog freindly Pub also has Caravan and camping facilities so I can imagine it might get lively at times but when we visited it was the perfect place to chill out for a couple of hours. I will be returning, maybe for a camping trip, and a few beers......it might get lively!....🤔
