Ludlow's food festivals and antique-filled Leominster lie within easy reach, as does the 40-mile Black and White Village Trail threading through historic villages. Bircher Common borders the grounds, offering immediate access to countryside walks. Castles and National Trust properties dot the wider area. The cottage itself is detached, dating back centuries and recently restored, standing within the owner's small holding on the edge of the common.

Acorn Cottage has one double bedroom and a shower room on the first floor. Downstairs, a living and dining room with a woodburner and patio doors opens onto an enclosed lawned garden with furniture and a barbecue; the 7-acre grounds are yours to explore. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with a cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Parking is on site for two cars, and there's a bike store. One well-behaved pet stays free.

A stream runs within the grounds, 10 yards from the cottage. The property has a single step into the garden and steep spiral stairs internally. It suits couples and does not accommodate children. No smoking inside. The nearest shop, pub and restaurant are 1½ miles away.
