Hill Calf is a single-bedroom shepherd's hut sleeping two, designed and built by hand on a working farm near Hereford. You arrive to find the hut itself: compact, thoughtfully laid out, with a wood-fired hot tub on the patio outside. The bedroom, bathroom and living space are all contained within, and the whole property is yours alone. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided; wifi is available too.
The hut sits within 250 acres of farmland where cattle and sheep graze. An enclosed garden or patio gives you your own outdoor space, and the wider grounds are accessible for walking. The setting is quiet—the kind of place where you notice birdsong and stars—though you're working farm land, not wilderness. Hereford itself is the nearest town. Smoking is not permitted.

We stayed here for a little holiday. Couldn't fault it, wonderfully quiet for some relaxation. Children and dog loved it and didnt want to leave!

Absolutely loved this place, if your looking for peace and quiet in gorgeous surroundings this is the place, its location is right next to a working sheep farm which just adds to it appeal in my humble opinion, the owners are lovely people, who were extremely helpful and pleasant, as for the property it was clean and tidy with everything you could need to make your stay more comfortable, I will definitely recommend and visit again

Panoramic views of the black mountains as a back drop in the most postcard, picturesque setting. Historical buildings decorate the roadside upon arrival. Warm welcome from the owner and his waggy- tail friends. Had a lovely time.
