Merryview Bungalow
Herefordshire, County of
View on Google MapsMerryview Bungalow is a single-storey detached property on a working farm in Herefordshire, sleeping up to six across three bedrooms. Everything you need for self-catering is here: a kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine; a living room with Freeview TV and DVD player; and a conservatory. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, with electricity on tap. One pet is welcome to stay (charges apply), though it must be kept on a lead given the farm setting. The bungalow is entirely yours for the duration, with no other guests in residence.
All rooms are on the ground floor. The three bedrooms contain a double bed, two zip-and-link single beds that can join together, and two further singles. There is one bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet. Individual oil heaters warm each room rather than central heating. Outside, an enclosed half-acre garden with lawn and seating area gives private outdoor space, and there is parking for up to six cars on site. No smoking is permitted inside.
From here, the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Brecon Beacons and Malvern Hills are all within reach for walking, fishing, canoeing and other outdoor pursuits. Hay-on-Wye, Abergavenny, Tintern Abbey and Hereford are a short drive away. The nearest shops, pub and restaurant are three miles distant.
