Mount Pleasant sits in the Herefordshire countryside, where walks lead directly from the door across open land and up to Garway Hill. The surrounding area draws people for outdoor pursuits: the Wye Valley and Black Mountains offer canoeing, swimming, horse-riding and hiking; the nearby Forest of Dean has cycling trails and family attractions; Offa's Dyke and The Three Castles Way pass within reach. Market towns including Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth are twenty minutes away by car, and Hereford cathedral city slightly further.
The cottage holds three bedrooms and one bathroom across two floors. Downstairs, the living room has a woodburner and smart TV, a dining room with an open fire, a kitchen fitted with standard appliances, a utility room with laundry facilities, and a sun room opening onto the patio. Upstairs are the bedrooms: one with a super king bed, one with a zip-and-link super king (splittable into two singles), and one with two single beds. A roll-top bath and walk-in shower are in the bathroom. The enclosed rear garden is lawned with patio seating, and private parking accommodates three cars. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided; logs for the woodburner are included. No smoking inside.
The cottage suits groups and families wanting space and a base for exploring the region's castles, outdoor activities and market-town restaurants. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
