The Cider Mill Cottage
Herefordshire, County of
View on Google MapsThe Cider Mill Cottage began life as an actual mill for pressing cider apples, and the original structure still dominates the dining area. Built in the 1800s, the cottage retains period character throughout while functioning as a complete, self-contained holiday home on the owner's farmland. You get the whole place to yourself, with views across lawned gardens and meadows towards the border country south of Ludlow.
The layout is straightforward: a kitchen with full cooking facilities and washing machine on the ground floor, a sitting room with woodburner and TV upstairs, and two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—plus a bathroom with bath and shower. Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, along with initial logs for the stove and a welcome pack. The enclosed garden has a patio, seating and barbecue, with private parking for two cars. One dog is welcome.
The location suits people wanting to explore apple-growing country, walk from the door, or use the place as a base for the Teme Valley and Shropshire's attractions. A pub and shop are within easy walking distance. Smoking is not permitted inside.
