The Coach House

You arrive at a detached house to find an open-plan ground floor where the living, dining and kitchen areas flow together. A kingsize bedroom and shower room are also downstairs; two further kingsize bedrooms occupy the first floor. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave—and there's a washer dryer on hand. Three kingsize beds means the property sleeps six, and one dog or cat stays free of charge. Electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided; the whole place is yours alone.

Behind the house is a garden with patio furniture, a summerhouse for sitting out in, and a barbecue. A pond sits within the grounds. The property stands on the edge of Hereford, four miles from the city centre where independent shops, restaurants and bars cluster around the cathedral—home to the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. Walking country surrounds you: the Gruffalo Trail at Queenswood Country Park appeals to families with younger children, while Hergest Ridge, Offa's Dyke, and the gateway to the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains lie within reach. Hay-on-Wye is also accessible. No smoking indoors.
