About Hopbine House
A cooked breakfast sets guests up for the day at Hopbine House, a B&B in Hereford that keeps things simple and reasonably priced. There's no in-house restaurant beyond this, but a pub, bar and other eateries are all within easy reach for lunch or dinner, and drinks can be brought up to the room if you'd rather stay in.
Rooms at Hopbine House are generously sized and retain a good deal of period character, with en-suite bathrooms and family rooms available for those travelling with children. Free WiFi is provided throughout, and there's a garden with pleasant views to sit in when the weather allows. It's worth noting that some rooms show their age and could do with better upkeep, and check-in has been described as brisk rather than personal, so this suits guests after a comfortable, no-fuss stay rather than a polished boutique experience.
Reception operates around the clock, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward. The surrounding area offers a golf course, entertainment and dining options nearby, making Hopbine House a practical base for exploring Hereford without unnecessary frills.
What guests say
Different....... let's go with different! When we arrived, ours was the only car in the car park; which made me a bit uneasy about leaving the car overnight. The whole check-in experience was weird, and the entrance is very tired looking. The room was actually really nice, though it could do with a bit of t.l.c. Not an awful place, but it could be so much better.

Checked into room 9 working away, tv was parental locked receptionist had absolutely no idea what we meant said it is our problem, so we had no tv for our stay, the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since 2010 cobwebs everywhere dust about 5 mm thick on surfaces, bathroom had mould and plaster falling from the ceiling all the plumbing was the wrong way around, towels provided to dry ourselves where just about big enough to wrap around one leg overall terrible experience would not recommend.

I stayed at this hotel in April, paying cash for the room directly to the owner. We agreed that if we didn't stay the full duration, she would refund the amount. The booking was for 10 days at £550, but she demanded an additional £200, bringing the total to £750. After staying for 5 days, my husband had to return to Scotland urgently, so we checked out and requested a refund for the remaining balance, as agreed upon before paying in cash. However, several days have passed, and the owner still hasn't returned the money. 🥹🥲 It was a terrible stay and I felt cheated by this hotel owner. 😢🥺🥹😭

No one to greet me. Instructed to ring a telephone number which didn’t work. I had to ask a guest who was returning to there room to give me the correct number. Saw no one from the hotel. Was left written instructions on where to find my key. Grotty and cluttered. Luckily I was only staying one night through lack of choices.
