Thornhill sits in elevated Herefordshire countryside where the landscape opens towards the Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean. The elevated position means views across the surrounding farmland and woodland, and the location puts you within reach of serious walking terrain—Woodland Trust routes begin practically at the gate. Deer, badgers and wild boar move through the area, which appeals to anyone interested in wildlife. The nearest shops are a mile away; a pub and restaurant sit 1½ miles off.
The property is a detached house split across two floors. Downstairs holds an open-plan living space with a wood-burning stove, a separate dining area and kitchen with electric cooker and full-sized fridge-freezer, plus a utility room with washing machine and a conservatory with its own television. Upstairs are three bedrooms—two doubles and one with twin single beds—and a shower room, with a second bathroom downstairs. Six guests sleep here comfortably. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; logs for the wood burner come with the booking. The large garden has a patio, garden furniture and a barbecue for outdoor cooking.
The Wye Valley holds medieval castles at Raglan and Goodrich, Tintern Abbey, and the historic towns of Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye, each within 30 minutes' drive. Chepstow Racecourse, Abergavenny and Hereford are all accessible as day trips. No smoking inside the property.
