About Wilton Court Hotel
Wilton Court sits directly beside the River Wye on the edge of Ross-on-Wye, a short walk from the town's market and shops, with a restaurant that leans on the riverside setting as much as the kitchen's own reputation. The hotel markets itself around dining, wine tastings and a genuinely scenic waterside position rather than extensive leisure facilities.
Bedrooms are comfortable rather than showy, and the restaurant is the clear focus of a stay, with regular wine events and a menu built around regional produce. Wireless broadband and straightforward, unfussy service round out the offer.
The location makes it an easy base for walking straight into Ross-on-Wye or driving out to Goodrich Castle and Symonds Yat, both within fifteen minutes.

Just had a fabulous 10 days here in the cottage to the side of the hotel. Been coming here for 35 years now as everything we need is here! five star service from Tory/Jonno, Kevin and the team, excellent food/drink, nothing is too much trouble, fantastic breakfast! have already booked for next year. Well done and thank you for making my family visit so wonderful.!!

3 weeks ago we had our wedding reception here it was brilliant from start to finish a few of our guests booked rooms which were clean and great for what they wanted myself and my now husband had the cottage which is amazing for the bridal suite plenty of room for getting ready in and the bonus of a hot tub. Tori was amazing and always on hand for anything we needed always accommodated our needs. Jono did the hog roast which was great and plenty of food for our guests we just want to thank you both for an amazing weekend. If anyone is thinking of booking there wedding reception here or any event I highly recommend 😊

Where to begin. In one word Outstanding and in four words, 'out of this world'. The Old Court Hotel is without doubt the best Hotel we have stayed in the past decade. The service is rooted in polite awareness, professional friendliness and efficiency. One shining example of this professionalism was our waitress last evening, Marta, along with the outstanding food, she was the star of our evening meal. Nothing, and I mean nothing was too much for her, every request was addressed and resolved with a genuine smile. Based upon our recent experience of catering since retirement, Marta is a credit not only to The Old Court Hotel she would be a shining example of how to do the job to many in catering industry (this from a former caterer and retailer: Harrods, Partridges of Sloane Street later self employed). Another example would be the chef, the kitchen staff, I asked Marta for a sliced onion to go with my burger, I got a sliced red onion. This might seem like a trivial matter, yet that request has been consistently denied in other hotels and restaurants, one such place going so far as to say the kitchen had no spare onion to offer! The room was magnificent the view was splendid and the quite was truly welcome. If you want to experince the best hospitality in beautiful surroundings while staying in a hotel that dates from 1570AD don't wait, The Old Court Hotel is THE place to go. (The only matter to be aware of is suspiciously disappearing sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, cream, or custard 🤔. Something fishy was afoot the evening we visited, something we are determined to reslove on our next visit.)

Can’t fault this place. Made me feel so welcome. Great value room, although quite small. Sat out on stunning patio for dinner in sunshine. Food delicious and loved the team - such a friendly caring bunch. Definitely coming back.

Diners like this hotel's delicious and hearty food, with many mentioning the excellent Sunday roast and varied menu, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. They also highlight the friendly and attentive staff, the charming historic atmosphere, and the dog-friendly policy.
Some reviews mention the food can be disappointing.
