The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave, so you can cook properly rather than relying on takeaways. Washing machine and tumble dryer are in an external utility room. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are provided; parking is on road.

Location is the real draw. You're opposite Pavilion Gardens and the Opera House, with the Georgian Crescent and Health Spa nearby. Buxton itself has pubs, restaurants, independent shops and year-round events. The Peak District surrounds the town—Castleton, Bakewell and Ashbourne are within 30 minutes' drive, as are Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Alton Towers and Carsington Water are under 40 minutes away. A pub sits within a mile, and central Buxton is walkable. No smoking inside the property.
