Lime Tree Holiday Park

Touring, camping and glamping pods a walk from Buxton town centre
About Lime Tree Holiday Park
Lime Tree Holiday Park occupies the old Duke's Drive railway line on Buxton's southern edge, where mature trees shelter pitches within easy walking distance of the town centre, the Opera House and the Peak District trails beyond. Reviewers consistently praise the welcoming owners and the site's spotless facilities – showers and toilets are modern and well maintained – though a few note that hardstanding can feel a little cramped when the park is full during festival season.
The mix of grass and hardstanding pitches suits tents, tourers and motorhomes, with electric hookup available, and there are camping pods and a handful of statics for those after a roof. A small shop covers basics, while Buxton's supermarkets and restaurants are a short stroll away. Families appreciate the play area and the strict ten o'clock quiet policy, which keeps evenings peaceful under the trees.
It's an ideal base for walkers who want to explore the town and the surrounding hills without moving the car, though popularity during the July Buxton Festival means booking ahead for summer stays is wise.

What visitors say
We stayed here for a few nights in a tent as we'd booked to see a speaker in Buxton. The holiday park is lovely. There's plenty of space for tents on the field (though it is on a slope - but does have a great view of the viaduct) You can pay for electric hook up, however, we didn't need this, though those pitches do look flatter. The toilet and shower block is clean and spacious. It's got a code which you are given at check in, and it has radio 2 playing inside the shower/ toilet block which was an unexpected bonus! It was very quiet on the field when we stayed as there weren't too many non-electric tents on the field. In the holiday park there are also electric tents, pods and static caravans, however like I say it's a spacious site so everyone is spread out. There's a kids park on the site and a farm shop. The staff were lovely when we arrived and they also had some bits for sale in reception if needed. It's a handy location for Buxton both by car and walking. There's some walks from the site, however we didn't do these as we'd already planned other things to do over the few days. A great site. I'd definitely stay again if I'm back in the Buxton area.

Beautiful surroundings friendly staff. But my caravan could have done with way more tlc (it was clean)but a bit more attention wouldn't have gone a miss The pillows were way to soft and maybe it would be more appropriate to offer 2 pillows to each bed also i do Not agree that customers should be asked to hoover and strip beds before leaving isn't that the cleaning staff job especially as you can not check in until 2pm and checkout is 10 am. Overall i really enjoyed my stay and was over the moon that limetree allow dogs. Just a few details could be improved

Lovely, quiet, well equipped campsite in an excellent location at the heart of the Peak District. We were on a touring pitch but there's static caravans and a dedicated tent site as well as log cabins and yurts etc Facilities are very good, clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend.

Very friendly park, our motorhome broke down on the way so our plans changed. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The shower block seemed fairly new and loved the radio playing in there. Beautiful view of the viaduct and taxi’s weren’t expensive into Buxton if you didn’t want to walk. There is a very friendly farm shop on site and a short walk to Trackside for a beer.
