Old Glossop sits on the edge of the Peak District National Park, close enough to access its moorlands and walking routes but in a lived-in village with actual amenities. Shepley Mews is a contemporary terraced cottage that serves as a practical base for exploring the surrounding hills and valleys. It sleeps four across two double bedrooms, each with its own television, and has two bathrooms—one with a shower cubicle and one with a bath. Ground floor living opens onto a patio with a private hot tub for four people, useful after a day outdoors or simply for an evening in.
The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are all included. There is parking for two cars on site. Within a few minutes' walk you'll find a traditional pub, an Indian restaurant, and Manor Park—a green space with woodland, a play area, bowling and tennis. Glossop town centre, less than a mile away, has shops, more pubs and restaurants, and a golf course with pay-as-you-play rounds. For walking, Hayfield (10 minutes by car) is close to Kinder Scout and Bleaklow; Edale, the start of the Pennine Way, is around 30 minutes away.
