The Servants Quarters

Photo: The Servants' Quarters

The Servants Quarters occupies the upper floors of a Victorian stone villa in a quiet residential street, with the entrance at first-floor level. Ground floor holds the kitchen and living spaces; the two bedrooms sit on separate storeys above, each with its own bathroom. One bedroom has a super king bed (or twin singles on request), the other a standard king. The top-floor bedroom also has a sitting area. A spacious kitchen opens directly onto a private enclosed garden with patio and seating, making it easy to cook and eat outside in warmer months.

The property sleeps four and comes with essentials covered: electricity, gas heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with a full-sized cooker, dishwasher and separate washer-dryer. A pub sits within a mile. Buxton's town centre—shops, restaurants, the Opera House and Pavilion Gardens themselves—is all within walking distance. The High Peak and Peak District countryside lie close by. Non-smoking accommodation.

Another excellent stay at the Servants' Quarters. The cottage is really cosy and has plenty of space and generous sized rooms. It really does have everything you could need during your stay. The area/street is very quiet and you are not disturbed. Buxton is a lovely place to explore, the cottage is central to all things the town has to offer. Can't wait to return.

This was our second visit to the The Servants Quarters, Buxton. The accommodation is of a very high standard and perfectly located in a very quiet residential street. Local parks, tourist attractions, Buxton Opera House, shops, restaurants, and bars, and the train station are very close by, and all within a few minutes walk of property. The owners always communicate well, are easily contactable, and provide all necessary information and appliance guidance for the property. Any queries or general questions are very quickly responded to and addressed. Another fabulous welcome pack awaited us on arrival. This property continues to be a Highly Recommended property for anyone travelling to Buxton. Manchester Piccadilly is just 1 hour by train away, and on a more local basis Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Matlock, are easily accessible by car within typically 30 to 40 mins

Lovely little well stocked property in the heart of Buxton with plenty of on road parking. Very thoughtful welcome basket, Pete even asked which type of drink we'd like. Great communications throughout our stay helping to make the whole experience extremely enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and will happily return if back in the area

We really enjoyed our stay at the Servants' Quarters and hope to return. Very comfortable accommodation with lots of thoughtful attention to detail. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the fixtures and fittings were good quality, the water was hot, the heating efficient, etc. Also the location is great with the Opera House, Pavilion Gardens, Park Run and the town centre within easy walking distance. There are 2 supermarkets less than 5 minutes walk away. The neighbourhood is quiet and we felt quite comfortable walking back from the town centre in the evening. On street parking was no problem but with so much provided and on hand a car is not essential.
