Vera’s Cottage

Edale sits at the foot of some of the Peak District's most famous ridges. Walkers use the village as a launch point for the high moorland, and the landscape dominates the view from Vera's Cottage – a mid-terraced property with immediate access to the hills. A patio at the front catches the vista before you step inside; the rear garden and lawned area offer quieter space to sit after a day out.

The cottage has two bedrooms and one bathroom across two floors. Downstairs, the living room contains a wood burner and Smart TV; the kitchen comes with its own wood burner too, plus electric cooker, hob, microwave and fridge-freezer, so you can cook proper meals. A dining table seats everyone together. Upstairs, one bedroom has a kingsize bed, the other has bunk beds suitable for adults. Electricity, bed linen, towels and logs for the burners are included. One car can park on site. The cottage is yours alone – no shared facilities.

Castleton, a few miles away, has show caves with boat tours through their passages, and Buxton is near for restaurants, independent shops and the opera house. The village itself is small and car-free at its heart. No smoking indoors. One well-behaved pet stays free.
