Beautiful place. Wasn’t able to go inside (had dog) but the gardens and grounds were beautiful. Parked in my 6m camper at the church as didn’t fancy the hill up to the official parking, 7 min walk which was easy. Staff very helpful; pointed out walks and dog bowls. Lots of sun chairs on the back lawn. Walking routes can be a little hard to figure out where they start, and pointers on route are few and far between but routes themselves are well kept. Second hand bookshop, gift shop and vegetable garden are all worth exploring.

Stunning location steeped in history. The NT team are so knowledgeable about the history of the house and previous owners. The gardens are so beautiful with plenty of areas to explore. Dogs aloud on site. Lots of parking available. Site is up a very steep hill, but well worth the drive to the top. Perfect place to take any youngsters learning about ww2 history.

Lovely historic property and grounds. Plenty to see and do, for all the family, eg when we went there were Morris Dancers (they were actually clog dancers, but trying not to let that bother us!) The walks through the fields down by the river are very quiet and peaceful. Cafe and shop are the usual National Trust fayre, and the staff were friendly and on a super hot day happily refilled our water bottles, thank you!

Another place were not only the place but people who works there made my visit. I would love to Thank you Larennie and John for lovely talk and so much passion, knowledge and friendliness. Besides at the cafe there were two lovely and very helpful ladies. Beautiful place and surrounding. So much history and felt as this place got some "home" vibe. Definitely, will be back. Recommend to get membership. " Kindness doesn't cost"
