Achnacarry Cottage

Achnacarry Cottage is a detached property in Lonemore, a couple of miles outside Dornoch in the Highland borderlands. The building commands views across the Dornoch Firth and sits on ground level throughout, with everything on one floor: a living and dining room with Freeview TV, a separate sun room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Two bedrooms sleep four—one with a double bed, the other with a single and a pull-out single. The bathroom has a shower cubicle. Heating is oil-fired, and the essentials including electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered.

Outside, there is a large lawn with a sitting-out area and garden furniture. Two cars can park on the gravel drive, and one more fits in the garage. Dornoch itself is walkable distance away, known for Royal Dornoch golf course and a measured approach to life. The Firth and surrounding coast hold extensive beaches and dune systems. Loch Fleet Nature Reserve, a few miles on, is worth visiting for birds and other wildlife. The cottage does not permit smoking.
