Wester Lonemore

Wester Lonemore stands alone on the coast south of Dornoch, where views stretch across the sands to the hills beyond. The cottage is single-storey, south-facing, and surrounded by countryside that brings in passing wildlife—particularly birds attracted to the garden pond. This is a quiet, rural setting where the sea and sky dominate.

Inside, everything centres on a horseshoe-shaped living room with an original fireplace and large windows framing those seascape views. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped for cooking; beyond it, a sun room overlooks the garden. Three bedrooms—two kingsize and one single—and a bathroom with shower serve five guests. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are included. The property has an air source heat pump and solar panels; for much of the year it runs off-grid. One dog stays free. There is a fenced pond in the garden, 20 yards from the house.

A large porch handles outdoor kit, and parking is available for two cars on site. The enclosed garden has seating areas. Arrive after 3pm, depart before 10am. Smoking is not permitted.
