Airor

Golden eagles, sea eagles, whales and dolphins are all sighted regularly around this part of Skye, and woodland walks from the cottage lead into terrain where you might spot them. Boat trips depart for the Cuillins, or you can drive the length of the island to Portree, the Old Man of Storr, and the ferry terminals at Uig. Armadale Castle and the Clan Macdonald Centre are within reasonable driving distance, as is the fishing town of Mallaig across the water. A small store lies a couple of miles south; Broadford, the nearest larger town, is 15 miles north.

Airor sits on an elevated position with views across the Sound of Sleat. Everything is on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with a wood burner and French doors to the garden, a kitchen with a full range of appliances including a dishwasher and tumble dryer, a bedroom with a king bed on one side of the living area and another with a double on the other, and a shower room with a walk-in shower. Both bedrooms share the same view over the sound. The property sleeps four, with parking for two cars on site and an enclosed garden. Electricity, bed linen, towels and initial fuel for the wood burner are included. No smoking.
