South Bay Cottage comes fully equipped for a complete stay. Bed linen and wifi are provided, and the kitchen is set up for self-catering with everything needed to cook proper meals. Each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom attached, which matters when six people are staying together. The cottage sits on the shore near Saasaig, on the southern edge of Skye, with direct access to the beach and woodland paths from the door.
The principal rooms open onto a roof terrace with views across the Sound of Sleat towards Knoydart and Ardnamurchan Point. You can watch herons, curlews and the occasional eagle from the garden or terrace. The building itself is 150 years old but has been updated throughout. The property stands in three acres of wild garden with parking on site, and one dog is welcome to come along. Note that there are steep or narrow stairs inside.
From here you can walk the shoreline or tackle one of Skye's classic routes—the loop to Tarskavaig with views to the Cuillins is particularly fine. Armadale Castle, boat trips to Loch Coruisk, and Talisker Distillery are all within a short drive. The nearest ferry to the Small Isles is three miles away.

Lovely spacious cottage in a splendid location. Extremely well equipped and very comfortable, especially the beds! Tastefully decorated with nice art on the walls and a great library too. Highly recommended.
