Kyle of Lochalsh sits on the edge of some of Scotland's most dramatic scenery, with the Isle of Skye a short drive across the bridge and wild mountain country inland. Cliff Cottage occupies a quiet spot within the village itself, giving you a base for serious exploring without being remote. The property sleeps five across three bedrooms—a double, two singles, and a further single accessed through the second bedroom—with one bathroom and a woodburner in both the living room and dining room. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and full laundry facilities. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial logs for the fires. There's a large garden with seating and parking for three cars on site.
The area suits anyone drawn to walking, climbing or watersports. The Cuillins and Five Sisters of Kintail dominate the landscape; boat trips leave from nearby; kayaking and fishing are available on the water; and mountain biking trails cater for various abilities. Historically minded visitors find Dunvegan Castle, Eilean Donan Castle near Dornie, and the passes through to villages like Applecross and Glenelg within reach. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra cost. The property is non-smoking. Note that there is an unfenced shallow stream and well adjoining the garden.
