Cuillin View
Highland
Photo: Google Maps
Walk through Cuillin View and you step into a ground-floor open plan where the living space wraps around a wood burner in the sunroom, with views toward Blaven rising beyond the garden. Two bedrooms are upstairs—a double and two singles—along with a bathroom holding both bath and walk-in shower. The kitchen is properly fitted for self-catering, with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave. Patio doors open from the dining area onto the garden where there's furniture for sitting out. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, as is the initial fuel for the wood burner. You have parking for three cars on site.
The cottage is on Skye's south coast, near the beach at Torrin. Broadford is six miles away; Portree, the island's main town, lies 25 miles north. The location works as a base for exploring the island—the Cuillins and Blaven for hillwalking, the Fairy Pools at their foot, boat trips from Elgol, Neist Point Lighthouse at the western tip. The north side has dinosaur footprints, the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing for those who prefer a walk to a climb. Tallisker distillery is a short drive away. No smoking; children under 5 are not able to stay.
