An arched doorway opens into East Lodge, a Category C listed property that immediately reveals its character through original stone and period details. The ground floor unfolds across a generous hallway: to one side sits a living room centred around a wood-burning stove set into a stone hearth, with a bay window and comfortable seating; to the other, a study. The kitchen and dining area flow together at the rear, well-equipped for proper cooking, with a utility room and boot room providing access to the enclosed garden beyond. Upstairs, three bedrooms—two king beds and a twin—each look out across woodland and rural landscape.
The property sleeps six and comes with parking for three cars on-site. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, along with initial fuel for the stove; the water supply comes from a natural spring. The back garden includes a patio, firepit and sitting-out area. One dog can stay free. Fly fishing operates on the grounds, and there's a bike store if you plan to explore. Smoking is not permitted.
East Lodge sits in Strathconon, within walking distance of red deer and birds of prey. The glen's mature flora and varied planting, spreading beyond Scatwell's grove, draw many who visit the Highlands specifically to spend time among this landscape.
