Fernabeg

Fernabeg is a substantial stone cottage in Edderton, a quiet hamlet between Tain and Dornoch. Built to generous proportions, it has four bedrooms across two floors and two bathrooms, sleeping up to eight. The ground floor centres on a living room with woodburner and a dining room that opens onto the garden; the kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering, with electric cooking, dishwasher and all the usual appliances. Upstairs, the bedrooms range from a double with ensuite to singles and bunks, suiting families or mixed groups. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial fuel for the fire.

Outside, a lawned garden wraps around the property with seating areas and access from both front and rear terraces. The drive holds four cars. One well-behaved pet stays free. The location works well for touring: Tain is seven minutes away by car, with shops and restaurants; Dornoch another ten minutes further on, known for its historic cathedral and beach. The NC500 scenic route passes close by, and both Embo and Dornoch beaches are reachable within fifteen minutes. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
